Meet and greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), followed by a comfortable scenic transfer to Darjeeling (6,710 ft above sea level). Enjoy picturesque views of rolling tea gardens and winding hill roads along the way. Day 2Darjeeling Highlights | Sunrise at Tiger Hill & Local Sightseeing
Early morning (around 04:00 AM), drive to Tiger Hill to witness the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft), the world’s third-highest peak (weather permitting). On the return journey, visit the serene Ghoom Monastery and the beautifully landscaped Batasia Loop. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, proceed for Darjeeling local sightseeing, covering the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (closed on Sundays), a Tea Garden (outer view), and the peaceful Japanese Temple. In the evening, enjoy time at leisure for shopping or strolling around local markets. Return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Darjeeling.
